Unikudos

2025
In collaboration with Jonna Eloranta, Mikael Malin, Zina Marpegan

Up-cycled fabrics, cables and alligator clips, painted wooden frame, led strip, projected animation, looping and changing at sunset

The artists reflect on how daily and seasonal resting cycles are distorted by the contemporary 24/7 rhythm, where all aspects of human needs have become commodities. This collaboration is presented on a bed covered with an experimental quilt made from bright yellow fabric fragments. The light that shines through the yellow follows a rhythm, in sync with the projected visuals, which changes everyday after the sun sets creating its own circadian rhythm.

Unikudos was exhibited as part of Mitä Jää / What Remains at Helsinki Central Library Oodi, Finland. 12.12.2025 – 8.1.2026.

The exhibition What Remains is a Gesamtkunstwerk – a jointly produced work utilizing multiple mediums like video, sound, painting, installation and participatory workshops, for example.

The artists are a collective of students and teachers from the Aalto University Department of Art and Media. The exhibition emerges from material and conceptual surplus, which is transformed into more than individual works. Recycled materials, places and spaces, reflections, dreams, and senses are ingredients for our collaboration.
