Duo-exhibition with Noora Sandgren at Kasematti IV Gallery, Harakka Island Helsinki 22. – 27.9.2026

Lovely to hear from you, and thank you again for the other day!

Noora invited Mari to Harakka Island as a guest. The contours of their joint exhibition take shape from a coincidental exchange of letters and time spent on the island.

When we listen, what comes closer?

Pieces of wood drift into the space, with sound and moving-image elements from different times, and found textiles shaped by the room itself. Over the course of the exhibition, traces also emerge from the correspondence and from learning crafts together.

The exhibition ponders upon bodies that flow through time, leaky frameworks, and sites of reassembly.
