SLURPS is an artist-led nomadic stage for contemporary art that takes place in a 4×8 m market tent placed temporarily in the public space. The programme gives opportunity for both new and already premiered contemporary performances, as well as artists from the experimental and indie music fields, to extend the life cycle of performances and to improve the accessibility of art.
SLURPS aims to build a communal space where art can find new audiences and ways to exist and be grounded in gentleness and sensitivity. The project suggests a light structure that facilitates connections between audiences and makers from different fields of art, at the same time enabling experimental, collaborative and sustainable curatorial and production processes.
